I would like to give Grant a very big THANK YOU for the way he looked after my husband on his passing on the 2nd Feb 2025 unti his funeral on 7th March. He and his team are exceptional people. Nothing was to much trouble, come anytime he said to see my husband day or night. Which i did. The Funeral was held everything he had arranged was perfect. My family and i are so grateful for the great service you provided. I would highly recommend this company. Xx

I actually do not know where to start, the positive comments are plentiful. My mum wanted to use a FD we had used many years ago, I swayed her to use Grant, as I have know Grant a while, and felt he would look after my dad, and observe mums wishes. I was 1000% right. From the first visit to our beautiful service for Dad, Grant and his team were invaluable. It's not just the wonderful warm welcome we got "every" time, the copious cups of tea, biscuits or cheeky whisky offered, but the small things, stapling our letters in roof of coffin, so dad had them to 'look' at, the music playing when we visited dad. The good mornings and good nights shared with our loved ones. Luckily we had been recommended Nikki and you confirmed she would be perfect for us, and boy you wasn't wrong. Playing dads favourite 60s whilst cleaning the cars, handing us our Roses at the service and probably the kindest and maybe funniest was Playing 'the floor is lava' with my 3 year old grandson, who came with us as every family member and friend was at the service. What a very special team County Funerals is. What a special man Grant Pinney is!! Do not hesitate to use his services. You have got a load more new customers Grant from yesterday, with greatest respect hope we wont need you for many more years xxx

Grant and the team were incredible I have experienced many other funeral directors in my time but nothing like this. What is one of the hardest times in a family’s life is made so much easier by the compassionate, professional and personable approach, where nothing is too much. If I could give 6 stars I would!Grant and his team were phenomenal from start to finish. My Grandad was looked after so well and nothing was ever too much.They treated him as though he was their own family, and made an already terribly difficult time for us so much easier, calmer and almost a relaxed process.Even during the funeral service itself when my 3 year old started kicking off, Grant took it upon himself to look after him and play games outside so I could read my speech.We never felt rushed, always felt we had a choice every step of the way and always felt Grandad was in the best hands.Grant and his team certainly have customers for life here with our family and having used a few other directors in the past I can say, with absolute certainty, that these guys are the best and such incredible value for money.

They were considerate and respectful in meeting the family's wishes for taking care of our loved one, the order of service, flowers, cars and all printing of the service booklets. I don't have the words to thank county funerals enough for the funeral service they did for the late Darran Upson. From start to finish they were great. I first spoke with Grant (who we then met in person), who really put us all at ease (we knew what we wanted (basically a service outside and last visit to the pub!) but had no idea if any of it was possible. Anyway, Grant helped us arrange everything we wanted (over a cuppa too!) and if you can call a funeral perfect, it was perfect! I would recommend county funerals to anyone in a heartbeat. We also spoke to other members of the team during this time and honestly, they are all simply amazing! (lovely touch playing Bob Marley while Darran was in the chapel BTW 💞). Thank you ALL. The best experience ever. Something we were dreading was made simple warm and supportive. The most wonder team welcomed us and supported us through the whole process. The actual funeral was stunning and fully personalised down to the lovely Donna wearing a cravat covered in kisses matching our emblem that reminded us of mum.I cant thank Donna and the team enough. They are truly amazing. Best ever!

From the Moment my Sister and I walked into the Office all of my anxiety of dealing with mums funeral eased. Donna was instantly personable, Kind and warm. True professional. Nothing was a problem. I never felt out of my depth. Everything was explained perfectly guiding us without pushing us. I couldn't Recommend County Funerals more. An Independent Family Business. Their attention to detail was incredible. They mixed Tradition with our wonky family ways perfectly. They Provided us with an Incredible Celebrant Nicky who delivered a Beautiful service for Mum.Donna wasn't just a Funeral Director she became a friend.Thank you all at County Funerals for such a memorable Send off of our Lovely Mum.Thanks Again Donna.

I just wanted to write a review about Grant, Sandra and all the team at County FuneralsWhen my mum sadly passed away, they were very supportive towards myself as a daughter and the rest of my family.My mum had a funeral plan, and she asked Grant for a few things to happen at her funeral, and on the day he full filled it.I went to view my mum and she looked lovely clean and well cared for.Just thought i would let people know my experience as i highly recommend them. It is very hard and upsetting when you lose your love one, but knowing the team are there to support answer any question is reassuringKeep up the good work guys

Grant and the County Funerals team are simply the best. Always considerate and approachable at what will be the most difficult of times for any family. My family and I were so appreciative of the care they took of us - always personal, sensitive and respectful, but also with a straightforward and practical approach that made things easier. The funeral itself was so dignified, with proper presentation, ritual and respect but also with a quiet understatement that was just right for us. I am very grateful to Grant, Amelia and the team.

I can highly recommend this place .The people here are so kind and truly seem genuine- we visited a few in the area and to put it bluntly they all seemed so depressing - this place felt homely in a funny kind of way and the staff so relaxed and it immediately felt the right place to bring our mum -:I would highly reccomend these people.The service was outstanding and nothing to much trouble.This is a business but felt human .

After loosing my partner and feeling way out of my depth id never dreamed that I'd be in this situation, County Funerals were able to reassure me of my worries and nothing seemed too much. Although because I didn't what to do and when I found it all difficult but it all came together beautifully on the day. Grant and the team treated my partner with respect in slightly unusual circumstances and I'd definitely trust them again.

Recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint from our first meeting to the funeral. They were just lovely! Excellent feedback from the care home when they collected mum and then supported us throughout the whole process. They arranged the order of service and would have arranged the celebrant and flowers if we had required this. Viewing was very sensitively done and all our choices were accommodated. Suggested an Earthurn as we were scattering the ashes at sea which has a geotag system to mark the final resting place. Thank you for everything.

Grant & his team are amazing. They make you feel so at ease from the minute you get there. My dad was with them for a few weeks & I could go see him as much as I wanted which helped with the whole process of losing him. My dad was well looked after. They take all the worries out of your hands. Nothing but praise for County Funerals, they have been wonderful. A small family run business, providing a professional, and caring service. Nothing was too much trouble, in fact they went above and beyond to help me, even coming up to Norfolk to meet me and set the initial plans in place for my husband's funeral back in Hertfordshire.Always someone to help me whenever I made contact and I made a great deal of contact, they always responded in a friendly and supportive manner. I always felt valued and cared for, not just another client being processed through a big franchise.Count Funerals care and support throughout the planning and on the day of the funeral was everything and more than I could have wished for.Grant and his team have been wonderful. The team at county funerals are amazing, They really helped out family through this tough time. My mother in law had the best send off. We could not be more happy with everything that was done for us. Always made welcome and nothing was too much. Grant and his team go above and beyond. And are truely amazing. Nikki the humanist is highly recommended too. Great fit for our family. Grant and the team are second to none. The best way I can describe the service we have received from County Funerals is an old fashioned style family business providing an immaculate experience at the most difficult of times.County Funerals looked after our mum when she passed away and from the first phone call, at the first visit to discuss the arrangements, the subsequent discussions to finalise the detail, and finally the funeral itself we were treated with love, care, compassion and empathy. This was still all done with a smile where it was appropriate.There was no hard sell or pushing of little extras, instead the options were provided and we were able to make our choices. Nothing was too much trouble and all our requirements were met without question.A special mention must also go to Nikki, whom Grant recommended to be our celebrant at the funeral. Nikki gathered the information at a meeting with us and then worked with us to fine tune the ceremony. And then at the ceremony the Eulogy and readings were delivered with love and compassion it was as if she had known Mum for years.I cannot thank the entire team enough. At what is one of the most difficult times to go through personally what you need is a personal touch and the compassion I have already mentioned.I urge any one who is going through a bereavement to use Grant and his team.

Grant suggested an option we hadn't heard of before, direct cremation. This allowed us to plan a memorial service and scattering of ashes at a later date that suited more people and allowed us to plan better.Once we had agreed what the plan was Grant and his team did exactly what they said they would do, reliably and with minimum fuss and bother, while providing support and advice when we asked for it, all at a highly competitive price. They deserve 5 stars.

We cannot thank County Funerals enough for helping my mum-in-law (Andy's mum) on her final journey to her new home. An emotional and sad time was made so much easier because of their caring, compassionate and professional manner (and of course the numerous cups of tea and biscuits!) They were always there for us at any time with kind chats and comforting hugs. This was Donna's first burial and she was wonderful. I am so happy we chose this family-run, independent team, who gave their personal touch to everything they did and nothing was ever any trouble. From the first phone call and collection of Mum from her home, we knew she was in good hands.Everyone has been so professional, kind and caring from start to finish. Thank you so much to Sandra for taking such good care of Mum whilst she rested with you, she looked beautiful, I felt she had known Mum for years. Also for taking all our calls/texts and for the tea and cuddles. Thank you to Grant and his extreme patience with the visual and Order of Service, is there no end to this man’s talents?! To Nikki for delivering such a beautiful eulogy, her patience and kindness was remarkable and unforgettable. To Jeff for driving us to the service and then to Mum’s ‘do’ afterwards and not forgetting his world-famous tea! You are all stars.The funeral itself was beautiful. The cars and all your staff looked wonderful. Mum's coffin looked radiant with all the flowers and is a sight I shall never forget. You all did a fantastic job throughout. Mum would have been thrilled with the whole service. My brother has already left his own review for County Funerals, and even though he spoke for both of us, I felt that I had to leave my own as well.From the minute I phoned Grant to ask him to take care of our Mums funeral arrangements I felt that we, and our Mum, were in safe and caring hands.At the initial meeting at the office to make the arrangements, where we met the whole team, we were treated with patience when we struggled to decide on a coffin and consideration when we changed our mind about visiting Mum in the chapel of rest. Nothing was too much trouble.Nicky, our celebrant, guided us through planning the service for Mum and made the whole experience so much easier.On the day of the funeral we were able to drive past the house that Mum spent most of her life in, even stopping so my brother could join Grant walking in front of the hearse;, a lovely, thoughtful gesture.A last minute change to allow my brother to act as pallbearer was no problem and Grant’s discreet guidance and support were very much appreciated.The team at County Funerals helped us give our Mum a beautiful, fitting and respectful goodbye. It was a day that will always be remembered. Despite grey skies beforehand, the sun shone for the duration of Mums funeral. I wouldn’t be surprised if Grant had a hand in that as well!!Thank you so much for making a sad and difficult time a bit more bearable.

Thank you for the sensitive and considerate way that you handled all the arrangements for our Mum’s funeral.The memories we have of the day, while sad of course, are all good ones. Simple things such as the procession proceeding along the road Mum lived on for most of her lifetime were handled with both care and attention to detail. Flexibility on the day to allow members of the family to be involved in the procession past Mum’s house and swapping in pall bearer’s at the last minute were all done easily and with minimum fuss.The occasion was everything we wanted it to be for Mum and it was the perfect send off for her. Absolute amazing company.The support Grant and his team have have shown our family over the past month cannot be faulted. No request to big or to small, everything explained in a kind and caring manner. Every little detail we wanted was made with love and care. Having used the services of County Funerals on a previous occasion, I had no hesitation in going back to them when my wife lost her battle with cancer.Once again, they exceeded my expectations, the ease in dealing with them in making the preparations, along with their advice was invaluable, and on the day everything went very smoothly - in fact the comments from some members of the family probably summed it up better than I could - the comment being “they really cared, it was almost as if they were part of the family”.Would I recommend County Funerals to my friends and family - without hesitation, thank you for making a stressful day a lot lot easier.
